After an amazing summer with family and friends,
I’m heading to Orlando from 20–23 September for my first ever IASIU (International Association of Special Investigation Units) seminar, working with the irrepressible Amar Galla, representing FraudOps.
Such an exciting trip for me, as whilst I’m in no way, shape, or form a salesman, talking positively about FraudOps comes naturally.
Anyone who’s worked in claims knows the problem: alerts, referrals and data pouring in from a dozen different detection sources and technologies, none of them talking to each other. SIU teams doing their best to keep pace, often with the same or worse headcount they had five years ago. What FraudOps does — binding all of that into a single, AI-driven workflow — means investigators can spend their time investigating, not stitching together information from six different systems. More investigations, same size team, better outcomes. No hard sell required — I’m certain conversations will flow naturally around the challenges and capability FraudOps delivers.

Straight from Orlando to London
No time to catch our breath, Amar and I are flying straight into London for the Insurance Post’s British Insurance Technology Awards 2026 on 24 September. FraudOps has been shortlisted for yet another award — everything crossed! If you see me doubling up on after dinner espresso, you’ll know the jet lag has well and truly hit.
Camelot Network
In other news, I couldn’t blog without mentioning The Camelot Network. It goes from strength to strength with new members and corporate partners joining what feels like daily at present.
Over the summer I’ve met with individual network members Julian Shawcross and Alex Veitch, both of whom consistently prove the strength in depth of this network.
On the corporate side, I’ve been building relationships with Richard Hickling from SPS and Alex Thoemmes from Claims Concept Solutions — two very different partners, but both maximising the value of the Network. I’m looking forward to connecting with Rupert Thorp at OutSystems and Jago Banham at BMC Helix in the coming weeks.
It’s been a good reminder that the claims world, for all its scale, is still a relationship business — the best outcomes come from connecting people who genuinely want to solve the challenges we all face.
